On Our Way
For children entering kindergarten in September
On Our Way is a once-a-week kindergarten readiness program that focuses on your child's social, emotional, and cognitive skills. Parents/Caregivers stay on the premises (as we are not a licenced childcare), while children separately participate in story time where they will practice their social skills, such as sitting together, taking turns, following directions and problem solving. They will practice their cognitive skills such as comprehension (what was story about), seriation (order of story), colours, number concepts etc. Through a craft activity they will practice skills such as cutting and printing. They will become familiar with some of the alphabet by name recognition and labeling the work.
